Today before the lesson, I took an hour or so to read over the dialog, the vocab, etc. Turns out that helps a bit. We were able to devote more time to grammar, kanji, and practice during the lesson.
I don't think I took really into account just how much time this was going to take out of the week. It's clocking in at like 30-60 minutes per night. That doesn't sound bad, but I really only have like 2.5-3 hours between the time I get home from work and the time I go to bed. My mornings are typically spent either running, lifting, or working. Doesn't leave a lot of free time for leisure activities!
I guess it's better than how I used to spend my time: playing League of Legends until my eyes bled.
Anyhoo... today the focus was primarily:
- Specifying location and time/frequency (~の前/~の後ろ/~の上/~の下/~時/毎日/毎晩/たいてい/ときどき/etc)
- Existence (いる/ある)
- General verb conjugation (~います)
- Trying not to sound like an idiot (impossible)
Also, I JUST learned that Sublime Text doesn't support IBus for foreign language input, and I can only use it in Emacs when I run it in -nw
mode (and it's kind of buggy). Booo.
