Had my first lifting-related injury today. Hopefully nothing serious, but since it happened like two hours ago, I don't know yet.
Incline leg press. 450lbs. Last set. Last rep. Going down, down a little too fast, aaaaand.... POP. "OW!"
Trainer jumped in, helped me rack it. Can't tell if I tore something, or just, I dunno, pinched some fat under my rib. Very mild pain now, almost nothing at rest, and only slight when I press or stretch, so I'm hoping it's the latter, and I'll just have a little bruising.
So. Guess I'll just... keep an eye on it. Last time I had a minor running injury it set me back a few weeks. Here's hoping I can avoid a similar fate.
