"When you have a spotter, I want you to go one past failure."
How the hell do you go one past failure? Doesn't failure mean that my body literally can't do another one?
"What I mean by that is just... keep your form, I'll help you through the one you're failing on, and then I want you to try for one more. Take advantage of your spotter."
What an interesting idea. When we're alone, we fail alone. Consequently, we always stop just short of our full potential. But when we have someone there with us, why not swing for the fences? Why not focus on the movements, on pushing our limits?
Take advantage of your spotter.
